The Battle of the Alamo

Should Texas have won the Battle of the Alamo? If you were in charge instead of William B. Travis, would you have done anything differently? If so, please explain.

I think that Travis should have destroyed the Alamo like Houston ordered and there would never have been a battle and no one would have died!

Hmmm. Deep question. Of course, you have to know about the Alamo to answer this question.
The thing is, even though Texas is the winner of this war, you have to give some credit to Mexico for fighting so well. I guess that this battle you have to give the credit to the Mexicans.
I would, if I was the commander of the Texas army, have followed Houston's orders and destroyed the Alamo. No lives lost.

I would say yes. But if they had then the battle cry "remember the Alamo" would have never came to be. That battle cry became one of the building blocks of th overall victory. But it would have been nice if so many people didnt have to lose their lives just so we can live ours freely.
